How should I get ready for my interview.?

I'm going in for an interview tomorrow at a local garage. They do tires, brakes, oil changes, and other basic repairs. How should I get ready for this interview? What should I expect from the manager? I am a senior in high school, and am a full time vocational auto repair student.

Should I bring a resume? What should I wear to the interview? What questions should I ask? Your input will be greatly appreciated.... thanks. How should I get ready for my interview.?Congratulations! You have an interview. First impressions are VERY important. Check your nails since you work on cars...they should be clean and look nice. Decide today what to wear....since you are interviewing at a local garage, you may consider wearing Docker style slacks and a clean, neat polo shirt. You absolutely need to know something about the company and use that info during your interview. He will be really impressed! You need to sell the skills you have apart from your auto repair skills...tell him (if you are) dependable; have a good work ethic, etc. Demonstrate in your voice and body language enthusiasm and energy...don't let fear hide those traits from the interviewer. Refrain from asking about time off, and pay right away. The interviewer will most likely lead the way with wage info. Do not bad-mouth a former employer...they just might be related. Take the positive road on anything...even if you had prior negative work experiences, don't go there. Be prepared to answer what your strength is and also what is your weakness....turn your weakness into a positive...such as...if procrastination is a weakness...state it and then you tell how you overcome it..by making a list of priorities, crossing them off, so you know exactly what needs to be done, etc. As you leave the interview, hold your head high and proud...they are always watching. In fact, they start watching you as you get out of your vehicle. If you smoke....don't do it before your interview...it can turn off the interviewer big time...no gum...no profanity (yes, believe it or not, it happens), remove piercings (all visible ones) cover tatoos, ... and keep good...good eye contact. They need to see you are confident and eager.....don't be afraid to ask for the job. Provide the interviewer with a resume....it will remind him of all of your skills and experiences. While job searching, change the message on your phone...no music....it will only irritate the prospective employer. They most likely will not wait for your tune to play to leave a message. You may want to keep in mind that you are an ambassador for your school program. The impression you make will create an impression of your vocational program. Good luck!!!! Hope you get the job you want! How should I get ready for my interview.?Run over a few things in your head that you might be asked about cars and brush up on anything you have found difficult in the past. The manager won't be out to get you, so try and relax.

Being a resume and make sure it is up to date and wear a pair of trousers and a shirt and tie to show that you can make the effort.

Ask the boss what he expects of you and about working times and wages. Be upfront now about any other commitments you have and what hours you were expecting eg if you are willing to work some weekends. Also ask him if he would like you to do something practical. Bring a pair of overalls in case the answer is yes so that you can show forward planning.

But the best thing of all is to have a good nights sleep, be early tomorrow and be polite and enthusuiastic

All the best and I hope you get the jobHow should I get ready for my interview.?Bring a copy of your resume. Dress in khaki pants and a clean shirt with a collar. Smile, maintain eye contact, and smile. Be very polite (yes sir, no sir) Be prepared to answer questions about why you want to work there, what you know about the company, and your work experience. Ask about the work schedule, what is involved in a typical work day, and duties. When the interview is over, thank the interviewer and ask if you got the job. If they are still interviewing, ask when and how you will be notified if you got the job.How should I get ready for my interview.?If you have a resume, certainly take it! Also take any letters of reference you have. Have you ever asked a client for a written comment on your work? If you have some, take them too. You will probably be asked why you want the job and why should they hire you over any other applicant. Be honest in your answer; but don't be cocky: %26quot; I need the job,%26quot;is not the best thing to say. One response might be, %26quot;I want to work in a job I'm already good at (show comments and references), and I know I'd be a good addition to your staff%26quot;.

Wear a button down shirt and slacks. Don't get too dressed up, you're going to a garage.

1. Do you supply all the tools, or just the basics?

2. If I bring in any of my own tools, is there a secure place to lock them up. or would I need to take them home with me?

3.How many cars do you normally get in per day?

4. Do you offer benefits? When would I become eligible?

5. Who pays for uniform cleaning?

Good luck!
