Changing brakes on an 89 buick lesabre?

What size star bit do I need to use to change the brakes on this car? I am not a mechanic, all information will be helpful. I have only changed brakes on Toyotas. How would I go about this? Thanks for your help.Changing brakes on an 89 buick lesabre? You need a torx bit. The problem is G.M. Uses both standard and metric size tools on may vehicles.

You can either take it apart and get the right size tool, repair it in a auto parts store parking lot that has free tool loaners, get a ride to buy the right size, buy the both standard and metric size torx, or buy a Chilton's Manual - they tell you the right size.

You'll need the the rotors and or drums cut to tru them. Some auto parts stores do it for free for buying the brake pads/shoes.Changing brakes on an 89 buick lesabre? You can use a #50 torque bit.

I would strongly caution you against performing a Brake job on your brakes by yourself.

This is a very important system and requires extreme care when performing repairs.

Please take the vehicle too a certified shop or have a skilled brake tech. assist you

in your DIY attempt.
