Allegory form help! RAPE! real life.?

so i am writing a paper in my ap english class over something that changed your life, and i chose the time i got raped. its hard for me to write about but my teacher said that writing can help you overcome your emotional stress. i really want to put it into allegory form but i dont know how... could you help? let me tell you my story first.

So i was going out with this guy for about 3 months, and he beat me, all the time, but i was always to scared to brake up with him... and one day he came over to watch movies and as we were laying on my couch, i was getting up to get a drink, and he grabbed my arm and pulled me back onto the couch, me expecting the worst asked what he was doing, he said nothing in a sarcastic tone and let me free, once again i tried to get up but this time he grabbed my arm, pulled me back onto the couch, and pinned me down under his body, (he was a pretty big guy), and he started hitting me as if i was some kind of pinata, i could feel the color change on my skin creep up forming bruises on my face, ribs, arms... i felt a hot liquid run down my lips, blood. i started screaming but no one was home... then, he rapped me.

I FINALLY broke up with him and now have a boyfriend that i am planning on marrying, and we have been together for a little over 6 months. please help me get started with this paper. thanks in advance!

oh, by the way, the reason i need it to be in allegory form is becuase i have to read my paper infront of the class and i will feel a WHOLE lot more comfortable if its in allegory form.Allegory form help! RAPE! real life.?If it was a one-time rape without the abusive cycle I'd say a wolf, bear, or lion pouncing on its prey. Since there was ongoing abuse, what about writing from the perspective of the wife of an abusive drunk husband who beats her? Too close to home maybe. The nerd at school who gets beat up and one day the bully corners him and carves out his heart? No, you want a scenario where the person survives. A bird, pretty to look at used to fly free then was caged by a mean man who plucks out its feathers one by one. One day he takes out all the remaining feathers. Someone who knows how mean the man is and hasn't seen the bird lately has one of the mean man's buddies take him out for a drink. While the mean man is away the person who hasn't seen the bird breaks in and releases the bird from her cage. He takes her home and takes very good care of her until she is healthy and able to fly. He takes her into the country and releases her.

Two very good books I recommend you read: You Are Special and You Are Mine, both by Max Lucado. Great stories. I especially recommend You Are Special.Allegory form help! RAPE! real life.?http://www.tnellen.com/cybereng/lit_term

The link above goes to a very, very basic definition of the term, and what it is.

Wikipedia offers a good explanation of what a metaphor is.

I may be a high school student, but even I think that one big giant comparison of two different things will not fly well. To quote wikipedia, %26quot;He stepped up to the plate and took the bull by the horns.%26quot; That's changing way too much; I believe you don't know what you're talking about when you said it must be in allegory form, or you would have long since realized how retarded that sounds. If that's not the case, I apologize and either way, wish you the best of luck with your paper.

As for the man that raped you, I'm glad you left before he left you..... wrapped in glad bags in a ditch. Scum like that gives honorable men bad names. I hope you DO manage to reconcile with yourself, and are able to put it behind yourself. It certainly does not pay to dwell in the past, especially with such dark memories like that to relive.

Cheers,
