How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?

That's kinda like trying to burn rubber on the road while simultaneously putting your other foot on the brakes.

I realize that God, guns, and abortion will *always* appeal to their specially cultured fans, supporters, and dwindling base of voters--but how can the GOP hope to move forward (thinking) in a century that embraces real hope, change, technological progress, and fresh visions for our collective future?

Maybe they can go all techno on our butts by pulling a Futurama skit and selling that to the public in general.

I dunno...

I'm just throwing out ideas for anyone whom might be receptive to this sort of thing... :0)How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?I'm not a party person. I don't believe in the right or the left. A person or country has to maintain balance. For example, you can't completely eliminate welfare or we will have dead babies laying in the streets. But, you can't give people's money away to every dead beat who claims they can't work. You have to have a checks and balance system. Sounds original doesn't it. With this, also comes accountability.

The Republican party is desperately grasping at straws. I believe that was why they selected Sarah for their VP choice. Right after the election, they announced they would consider the Louisiana governor for their 2012 choice. He's a minority. Now, they have selected a black RNC president. They are trying to play politics. As long as they play politics instead of facing issues, they will have problems.

Now about the real hope, change, and technological progress, let's see what happens. Obama has made promises and it appears he is working on fulfilling them. But, the government has always been slow on solving problems. I wonder how we ever put a man on the moon. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? The republican party has never claimed they would like to move forward. That is basically what conservative is.

It is like a car, to move forward, put it %26quot;D%26quot;, to go backward put it in %26quot;R%26quot;.How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? They are a fading stain on the history of this great nation. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?Your right. If they don't adopt any 21st century ideals then their dead. Which wouldn't be a bad thing. I can't wait to get rid of Rush Limbaugh. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?Conservatives and moving forward=does not sound normalHow can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? The GOP should help digg out IED's in Iraq. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?I agree with you. I know some conservatives that just have a hateful demeanor about anything that is different and not traditional. If they want to win the hearts of Americans they better start realizing not ever body is the same. This country is to diverse. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? They're waitin' for the whole trend cycle to come full circle so that being a puritanical, xenophobic douche is in style again and they can win.How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? If they can not get past their anger and negative bitterness there is not much hope. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?I believe FDR tried this finance-backed spending -- and it FAILED! EPIC FAILURE EPIC FAIL EPIC FAILURE.

We were spending 10% of the GDP trying to fill the hole and stimulate the economy...didn't work.

That's more backwards than anything you have on the Repubs.

Technological process is lead by the free-market -- not government...many republicans in the free-market (Remember your Mantra? Greedy fascist racist fat-cat capitalists pigs...)...your argument fails just like your self-made moccasins. Try Berkenstock: Although I'm not sure if their board is comprised of Demos or Repubs...you might want to look into their campaign contributions.

hope is what republicans gave blacks and women when pushing the civil rights movement as democrats fought it

change is what slaves got when republicans crushed the democratic south in the civil war.

hope is what Obama's fueling his stimulus package with and Republicans just told him it's going to be an EPIC FAILURE by not voting for it in the House.

fresh visions don't include battery operated cars as they'll need to draw energy from the grid -- powered by coal...whoops...and what about the battery waste?

You have the right concepts -- but you're batting for the wrong team. Welcome to the Republican party! How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?I'm a Republican and I partially agree with what you're saying, but I think you've got it somewhat backwards. I think God, guns and abortion are surefire winners in terms of holding the base together. But I think it's the other side where I'd like to see some movement. We need to do something about poverty and about people without health care, come up with some innovative ideas to make sure everyone's got that security without breaking the bank. Most importantly, we should stand against free trade, which has destroyed our industries. If we can do that, we can win over the middle-of-the-road voters. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?Excellent point. Yes...they are backwards!! How can they move forward? They don't believe in science. I think they have used the scare tactics too long. That does not work when you don't have a job or a home. I don't think the republicans would be happy if they worked in a pie factory and had a bite of each pie.

BTW...I love the response from Incarcerated Bert....hillarious.How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? They elected the first ever African-American as RNC Chairman. Maybe they are finally headed in a new direction as far as including more diverse members into their party. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies? There can not be a more tired ideology than taxing working people to death in order to fund free loaders and special interest groups.

Just because America was tired of the republicans and decided to give the Democrats a chance does not mean we have all decided to be socialists.

If the Democrats stray from the mainstream they will pay.How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?Hmmm, the first and second amendment of the Bill of rights are backward ideologies? Really? So freedom of religion is something you %26quot;progressive Democrats%26quot; want to get rid of? Faith in whatever religion you choose is wrong. I guess we should all bow down to your newly annointed messiah and hope his visions change us into a technical collective. Because communism is such a new and forward thinking ideology. Couldn't possibly be a failed ideology of the past that the dems have dusted off repainted and are trying to shove down our throats again. You can keep your communism, thank you very much. I still think free market capitalism is a pretty good thing. It just gets mucked up when communists hijack the system to start redistributing the wealth. Forcing banks to lend money to people who can't pay it back tanked the economy. And Democrats led the charge to do it. New technology is always driven by free market capitalism. Money makes the world go round. Guns, your basic fundamental right to protect and defend your own life and property, you want to give that up? Are you insane? Do you think magical elves will suddenly pop out of the ground and make everybody be nice just because you surrendered your rights? It doesn't happen. Gun control increases crime. It just turns citizens into helpless victims. But that seems to be the goal of the democratic party. You guys are the kings of victimization. You want everyone to feel like a victim and it bothers you when people have the courage to stand up for themselves and take responsibility for their own lives. You want everyone weak, helpless and hopeless so they will always have a hand out for the scraps you leave to them. Republican want people to be strong, independent, free thinking and self reliant. Republicans don't encourage hatred and fear. Fear is for victims. Informed citizens take charge of their own lives and fear nothing. But the democrats always want people divided. Divided by race, divided by gender, divided by economic class. From division comes struggle, hate and fear. Karl Marx knew that class warfare was the means to enslave the masses. That's why you democrat will never let class warfare die. How about you bolsheviks quit trying to bring us back to 1918 in russia and let us republicans live in the 21st century. How can the Republican Party hope to move forward in the 21st century when they embrace backward ideologies?Did you get the memo...They new %26quot;face%26quot;...Michael Steele

Is maintaining a newer car or truck by yourself practical?

I am looking into purchasing a newish (2005-2007) diesel truck. I want to take automotive classes at my local community college and do all my own work to my vehicle. I have been told that no matter how much you know about automobiles, they are very electronic now days and therefore one needs expensive computer equipment to do anything more than a oil, fluid, filter change, or anything else fairly basic.

I am curious what the yahoo community thinks...

Is it reasonable to do all your own work on a semi new car, or even a new car for that matter. Everything from a basic oil change, to replacing brakes, or a master cylinder, or replacing engine mounts and transmissions...maybe even adding chips and more skillful jobs???

Please let me know your thoughts and advice!

Thanks!

-Happy LIs maintaining a newer car or truck by yourself practical?Despite what people say, basic maintenance on a modern car is no more difficult (and often a lot easier) than an old one. Take servicing for instance: you don't have to check/adjust valve clearances, set ignition timing, adjust carbs etc etc. Changing brake or suspension parts is no more difficult than on an older car either.

Obviously, there are areas that need to be left to a dealer if they require special tools or diagnostic equipment. They include : clearing codes after repairing engine management, abs or airbag system, replacing parts that need to be coded to the car (injection pump, some fuel injectors and various other parts).

Block Exemption laws of about 2002 mean that a car manufacturer must make technical information available to independant users. Most makers have a technical website you can subscribe to where you will find all the information required to repair a vehicle.

If your car is still under warranty, it's best not to fix it yourself, as it may invalidate the warranty. Is maintaining a newer car or truck by yourself practical? The electronics in today's motors just make doing adjustments nearly obsolete, otherwise a motor is a motor and there is no difference in repairing them. You may find that sometimes the electronics can try to make adjustments and compensate for a part failure, that may send you in the wrong direction but experience will help you to correct the vehicle. The basics will help you get started and then you can determine if it something you want to pursue. Is maintaining a newer car or truck by yourself practical?i have 1 pickup and a van. i do all the work on them. with the right tools you can do the job yourself. almost all cars now have computers. and with the right code reader. you can fix just about any car out there. the trick is to master the code reader. Is maintaining a newer car or truck by yourself practical? My Father was a Propeller engine Mechanic in the Air Force. The first thing he taught me was that with the proper information anyone can fix anything. Purchase a manual for your vehicle at a parts store. This book, a set of tools, and even a code reader (available rather cheaply at the same store), or have the parts store read the code for you when necessary, ( check engine light on) and you should be able to intelligently handle most problems with your car. Do not let the electronics worry you. These sensors are generally easy to replace when they go out. Biggest thing there is NEVER connect or disconnect one wth the battery conncted. Even a small surge on some of these will ruin them and some of them are expensive.

With the classes and a manual you should be able to tackle most anything that happens short of a major rebuild.

My boyfriend isn't letting me go?

I'v recently tryed to brake up with him but he just keeps saying i can change, please dont leave me, your the only one for me, and stuff like that. I REALLY do care for him but i just dont want a boyfriend at this moment in life and hes not getting that threw his head.

How can I get it threw his head to finally let me go and understand that i still just want to be friends, close friends?

PLEASE HELPMy boyfriend isn't letting me go?you just have to break it down for him, i am not ready for a relationship, i like you for a friend and thats all.My boyfriend isn't letting me go?It's really a tough thing to break up as everyone winds up getting hurt. But if leaving him is the final ultimatum and you have finally realized that being with him is not what you want then you must certainly let him know the truth keeping in mind that truth hurts. My boyfriend isn't letting me go?have u tried telling him this like sit him down and explain to him that it is never going to happen(if that is wat is going to happen)? cause once u do that and if he still doesnt back off then u have a problem cuz then u need to relize that u might not be able to to be his friend without him wanting more... hope i helpedMy boyfriend isn't letting me go?If he isn't letting go then I'm sry but you guys won't be close friends, at least not right now. Tell him one more time and keep your distance from him, don't answer his calls maybe he'll eventually get it. but distance will be your best friendMy boyfriend isn't letting me go?well, try to tell her what's your true feel and why do you want to break up.both of you need time, please keep distance with him.i'll say it's hard to become friends ,not mention close friendsMy boyfriend isn't letting me go?Tell him the problem isnt him changing. The problem is you have changed.Explain that you still like him but you have other priorities in your life now and they dont include him at the moment. Some day you might change your mind and come back to him but for now you need to concentrate on you.Tell him if he cant let you do this, you will resent him and begin to hate him.We all need to live our lives for ourselves. And only you know what is right for you.And right now whats right is you having time to examine your life and what you want for your happiness.

What would cause a 1998 chevy venture to still be overheating after i changed the thermostat? i ned help!!!!!!

The other day when i was driving it and I got on the brakes it went straight over to hot. Then when I took off it went back to about half way mark. Then once again when I slowed down or got on the brake it would immediately go back to all the way hot. I have already changed the thermostat because I was thinking that may have been the trouble, but it is still getting hot when I stop or slow down. But when I take off or give it a little gas it will go back to hot....can anyone give me some advice on what to maybe check next or how I can possible fix this? Thank you in advance for all your help. What would cause a 1998 chevy venture to still be overheating after i changed the thermostat? i ned help!!!!!!1. check radiator fluid level first - low fluid levels will give you crazy readings if not touching sensor with low coolant flow. 2. stop vehicle turn on a/c and go see if your cooling fans are coming on. 3 check for debri in front of the radiator and between the condensor.. To me what your are stating sounds like no are flowWhat would cause a 1998 chevy venture to still be overheating after i changed the thermostat? i ned help!!!!!!the water pump is badWhat would cause a 1998 chevy venture to still be overheating after i changed the thermostat? i ned help!!!!!!Well, when's the last time you had the coolant system flushed?

Youre most likey low on coolant, or your radiator and expansion tank and all of the hoses in the system are full of rust and junk. A good indicator is an expansion tank full of nastly looking rust and sediments.

You definately need to have the system flushed and fresh new coolant put in. After that, then replace the thermostat, and then check for a leaking water pump. Alot of the time if the water pump is the problem, you may just need a new gasket, and not a new pump.

Anyway, most folks agree you should flush the cooling system once per year to avoid this kind of problem.

I had a crown victoria that I neglected the cooling flush one year - I kept putting off flushing it. The next year the radiator became cloged with rust, the expansion tank was clogged with rust. And I ended up paying $400 or so to have the radiator services and the system flushed.

Anyway, good luck.

By the way, you can buy a bottle of radiator/cooling system flush at Walmart for about 5 dollars. Follow the easy instructions on the bottle, and you can save about 30-50 bucks by not bringing it into your local Jify Lube. What would cause a 1998 chevy venture to still be overheating after i changed the thermostat? i ned help!!!!!!HEAD GASKET! Just had the same problem with mine. We tried the thermostat still nothing. Finally we took it to a reputable mechanic. Costed us $1300.00. However make sure you have both gaskets changed or the other will go bad soon. My husband changed the front one then the back one went out a week later so they had to replace both. How do you try to work it out with your baby's daddy in a relationship again?

before i had my baby i was with my boyfriend (now babydaddy) for about over a year. we broke up since he found out i was talking to my ex behind his back %26amp;my ex told him. we broke up but ofcourse i wanted to work things out again %26amp; at this time i didnt even know i was pregnant. we were trying to work it out but he still wasnt sure since he lost all my trust. after i found out i was pregnant he was happy but things werent as good because of no trust. he went to mexico %26amp; stayed for about 6 months. he got a girl over there %26amp;even had her name tatood on him. i put him on childsupport %26amp; after seen him %26amp; spending time with him he started changing %26amp; i could tell he still had feelings for me. now he said he wants to settle down %26amp; wants a family since i have his baby %26amp; he is willing to give me another chance %26amp; cover that other girls name %26amp; brake up with her. i learned my lesson so im trying to do things right now. %26amp; the childsupport will still be on even when were trying to work things out. so how should we start communicating %26amp; not move to fast? meaning.. do we txt everyday now? should he be calling me everyday? should i not be constantly looking for him or asking whos he talking to or knowing where hes going? please let me know what ya think? is different now that we have a baby %26amp; is not like a normal boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. so i just want to know what are the limits to start over with your babydaddy. How do you try to work it out with your baby's daddy in a relationship again?Assuming you aren't my ex with my kid... Just leave him alone. You both sound too immature to even be in a relationship let alone parents. So just start with being a mom for now. You need to wise up fast cause a baby is way more important than some stupid boyfriend who can't get his crap straight. Live your life separate from his and start making a life for you and your baby. Remember, you are NO LONGER your first priority. Junior is.

  • How to tell if your timing belt jumped?

I have a 99 Ford Escort with barely over 102,000 miles. The timing belt is supposed to be changed at intervals of 100,000 which I'll do provided that my car is holding up well. Recently I heard a clicking noise whenever I braked which turned out to be grease that came from my busted ball joint. I've had this fixed and rarely hear the clicking nowadays but it occurs from time to time (I suspect the grease wasn't cleaned up all the way). However, whenever I heard the clicking noise and came to a complete stop, my car would kinda sputter/jerk while braking and even while accelerating from coming from a complete stop. I've visited several mechanics only to be told a multitude of things. I've been told that my transmission is going, whereas others will tell me that the transmission is fine. I've also been told that my timing belt might be acting up. I know there is no surefire way of telling if your timing belt is about to break, however are there any symptoms that the timing belt has jumped a tooth or two. I'm NOT going to spend $400+ for a timing belt only for the car to last me 2 weeks. How to tell if your timing belt jumped? If I assume the %26quot;clicking%26quot; came from a CV joint, because of a busted rubber cover allowing all the grease to be thrown out, then replacing the grease and rubber cover is unlikely to stop the clicking. The CV joint should be replaced.

If the CV joint is bad, it is a likely cause of your %26quot;sputtering and jerking%26quot;.

Another possibility is a brake problem, or even hub bearings failing.

A jumped timing belt is unlikely the cause.

I would have thought a timing belt should have been changed at 60,000 miles/ 100,000 Km.?How to tell if your timing belt jumped?Sell it and save your self the misery. How to tell if your timing belt jumped?Go to cartalk.com and ask there. Those guys run a garage and encounter all sorts of things like this. They've got a radio show on NPR Sat mornings that you can call into and ask your question + get advice. The nearest station to you and the time is at their website.

    Help with a physics problem?

assuming your reaction time to be .650 seconds. If you are traveling 100.0 km/hr and your car has good enough brakes to bring you to rest in 6.00 seconds, how far will you travel coming to a complete stop?

How do I solve this. I am very confused. I keep getting 83.33 meters but the answer is supposed to be 101.5 meters.

**Remember to change the km/hr to m/s.

ThanksHelp with a physics problem? If your reaction time is .650 seconds, and you are traveling at 27.78 m/s, then in the time it takes for you to react, you will have already traveled 18.06 meters. So in adding the reaction distance to your already calculated stopping distance, you will have traveled a total of 101.5 meters.Help with a physics problem?Reaction time is the time it takes you to begin braking after you see the need to stop. Since your initial speed is 27.8 m/s and you are traveling at constant velocity dx = vxt = 27.8 m/s (.650 s) = 18.05 m. This is how far you travel before braking.

Then you apply the acceleration formula dx = 1/2(vf +vi)(t) = 83.4 m that you travel during negative acceleration.

    Therefore 18.05m + 83.4 m = 101.5 m

Would someone help me with this physics problem?

You are driving a 2500 kg car at a constant speed of 14 m/s along an icy but straight level road. As you approach an intersection, the traffic light turns red. You slam on the brakes. The wheels lock, your tires begin skidding, and the car slides to a halt in a distance of 25 m. What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between your tires and the icy road?

We were already given the answer (.4), but I don't understand how to get there and would really like a step-by-step answer. :)

I think I'm definitely going about this problem the wrong way, but I figured you must find time taken to reach the distance of 25 m, then average acceleration (change in v/t). I came up with an answer of 6.26 m/s^2 this way (technically, it would be a negative number, I think). I then calculated the net force with the formula f = ma and got 15,652.95 N. Problem is, I don't have the applied force given like I'm used to in order to find the friction force...Basically, I'm stuck from there (although I know the normal force is 25000 because normal force = force by gravity = mg. I also know the equation force of friction = coefficient of friction x normal force. My knowledge basically ends there and hopefully yours begins. xD)

Thanks in advance!Would someone help me with this physics problem? We know the equation F=ma

The only force that is stopping the car is Friction

Force of Friction = uFn, where Fn is the weight of the car (m*gravity)

So we have Force of Friction = Force to stop the car

u*Fn=m*a ( u is the coefficient of friction, Fn is force normal, m is the mass of the car, and a is the acceleration of the car (which is slowing down))

    u * m * g = m * a

First we need to calculate the acceleration of the car

    V2^2 = V1^2 + 2 * a * d

    (14m/s)^2 = 0^2 + 2 * a * 25m

    a=3.92 m/s^2

    now we have

u*m*g=m*a, it turns out we dont even need the mass of the car

    u*g=a, u*9.81m/s^2 =3.92 m/s^2

u=3.92/9.81 = 0.39959 = 0.4Would someone help me with this physics problem?Well set f = ma = friction. I forget the formula for force due to friction, but go that way.Would someone help me with this physics problem? You got the acceleration wrong. It's 3.57s / 14 m/s

    Then sum force and acceleration.

    mu(k)*N = ma

    N=mg

    mu(k) = 0.39959 ~ 0.4

It turns out that the force of Friction is acting in the positive x direction because the vehicle is slowing.Would someone help me with this physics problem?Hey Renisca

All that went wrong was that you slipped up at the beginning. We don't want average deceleration we need the real thing!

To find it, use one of the equation of motion:

    v^2 = u^2 + 2as

From there you get the correct value of a, and a coeffictiant of friction 渭 = ~0.4

How hard is it to put a rebuild kit in a 94 JEEP G.C.L trans its qaudra trac also ?

I have done alot of like changing motors, trans ,transfer cases, heads, waterpumps, manifolds, brakes,? and alot of other stuff but just not sure of all the clutch plates, seals, orings and the rest of it any advise or anything about doing it your self.THANKSHow hard is it to put a rebuild kit in a 94 JEEP G.C.L trans its qaudra trac also ?Pick up a rebuild manual for that type of trans, it will show you step by step how to do it. there will be a few tools to buy in order to set differant components to specs. Sounds like you know how to wrench, The kits are around 350.00 bucks, that a cheap fix if you do it yourself. good luckHow hard is it to put a rebuild kit in a 94 JEEP G.C.L trans its qaudra trac also ?For me, it would be really close to impossible to put a rebuild kit in a Jeep or any other vehicle. Changing brake pads?

I am in the middle of changing the rear brake pads on my 98 Grand Prix. I've never done this before but viewed an online how to video. I can't get the caliper off. I've taken off the bolts just fine so it should now be free. I can move it an inch each way around the rotor. But just not out and off the rotor. I can't see inside very well. Does the little metal clamp that squeaks when your pads get thin need to be removed first? There is quite a bit of rust on the edge of the rotors. Can I just hit the caliper lightly with a rubber mallet?Changing brake pads?if you have the pins out and can move it just hit it with a hammer and knock it the rest of the way.. but let me ask did you try pushing back the pinton with a big screwdriver first ... and you can use a real hammer you can beat the crap out of them things.... if yo ucan move it some i bet if you was to pry it back some with a screwdrive it would fall offChanging brake pads? You might try releasing your emergency brakes and then trying to remove the calipers.

Yes you can tap on your calipers. Just strike them on the ends aways from any bolt holes or anything else fragile.Changing brake pads?Try taking the cap off the brake fluid reservoir to allow the pads to spread further but make sure you surround it with rags in case it overflows. Buy some brake fluid in case you need to replace some. Double check to make sure there is not a pin or bolt you missed. Autozone.com has online repair guides for free if you register. No you should not have to remove the squeaker but it might help to bend it out of the way or remove it. Yes it is OK to use rubber mallet but you should not have to.Changing brake pads?Heres what's going on:

The brake pads wear away, and also wear the rotor away. As the rotor gets thinner the caliper pushes more and more in. Sometimes if you let the brakes go too long it also starts to wear grooves into the pads and rotors. These parts all wear together in a pattern. you need to get the caliper to open up some more. You can use all kinds of things to do this. You can use a sturdy flathead screw driver to pry between the caliper piston and the back of the brake pad that touches the piston, you can use a %26quot;c%26quot; clamp. All kinds of ways. But you need to get that caliper to open up. YOu need to get that caliper piston to go in a little so that you can get the assembly to come off...its hanging on by the pattern its worn into the pads/rotor. Like the dude said, you can take off the resevoir cap, make sure your emergency brake is off, etc.

I hit a deer just over a month ago with my 2003 ion I bought last October, after 4,000 worth of damage (thank god for insurance) for repairs with the deer damage I get in my car tonite and the check engine light is on so I take it straight to Auto Zone and they said it is the O2 sensor, the price they quoted me was 135.00 for the part, I am wondering if this is alot and if my dad can change it, he is pretty good with cars, replaces the brake pads, brakes, roters, oil things like that. Do you think he could do it if I would buy the part 1st of all or do you think I should just take it to a shop and have it done? Also, how long can I go with this sensor as is? Looking at the picks it looks nice and so does the interior. He's asking 3200 when I go see the car and I like it what should I start at when how much lower you think he will go. Is the car hard to fix and expensive I want to start to learn how to DIY like starting but changing brakes and stuff I have no car experience and this would be my first car. Should I buy? Thank you all for your time1995 325i should I buy for a first car???Hey Man!

I would definitely recommend this year %26amp; buy.

BMW's cars' last up to 300,000 miles, sometimes even 400,000. This car is just, now, broken in. Awesome price for this wonderful car.

They're extremely reliable ... -if- you properly take care of them. I always use Mobil #1 oil.

Mine RARELY has any electrical problems. The engine is always in perfect condition. When it does have a problem (VERY rare) I take it to an **independent** BMW Mechanic; much cheaper than the dealer.

Sure the parts are more expensive; but this is a BMW! - One of the best of the best automakers - of course you're going to pay.

I've never driven anything more fun %26amp; I wouldn't recommend a car more fun or respectable than a Bimmer. They don't call this car the, %26quot;Ultimate Driving Machine%26quot; for nothing :)1995 325i should I buy for a first car???thats a really good deal i would buy it for that much money1995 325i should I buy for a first car???ANY import BMW, VW, MERCEDES, SAAB etc is going to be a fortune for parts and service or repair.

Go with a domestic because in the long run, and especially buying a used car, your going to have to fix things before you know it. Its almost a gauranteed, especially since the car is already 13 years old. even if it seems to be in great shape, be careful......

I would definately not get an import especially with the economy right now and the price of everything going up. your parts are going to go up because they are being imported which means gas etc. for the delivery company.

Yeah everyone wants a BMW for their first car, But your going to go broke with it... You can buy a hell of alot newer car for the same price that is a domestic. Keep shopping around1995 325i should I buy for a first car???They are not expensive to repair, and they are generally very reliable. Any car over 100k, though, should be inspected by a dealer. Just go and ask for a pre-purchase inspection. It's worth it. Ask for the service records. Parts for 90's BMW's are everywhere, they're not rare. Enjoy!

Also, if you do buy it, join www.bimmerforums.com - they are a wealth of information.1995 325i should I buy for a first car???Can't really answer the money part since you didnt say what country you live in and what money you're talking about (3200...can't be USD!)

The 325i is a fantastic car, but it's not a 'beginners DIY%26quot; by any means. Yes, parts will be more expensive than many other makes, which means you'll want to be extra careful if you're taking things apart on your own. Get a good repair manual (Bentley may make one for the 325i), decent tools and be very patient. You don't want to break something in an %26quot;oops%26quot; moment on a car like that. I'd suggest you learn a lot about this car before trying to do all but the simplest things on your own, if you haven't worked on cars before.

Do you feel his asking price is reasonable? Does it compare to other 325's in about the same condition? Why not pay him what it's worth.1995 325i should I buy for a first car???First of all, its Bimmer, not Beamer (a Beamer is a BMW motorcycle, a Bimmer is a BMW car).

One of my good friends had a 1998 M3 and he has had numerous reliability issues with the car, I won't go into detail, but the car has been a real burden for him. His car only has about 70xxx miles, so imagine the issues a car with 123xxx could have.

If you really have your heart set on this car, do a Carfax history check and ask the woman if she has a service history. If things such as the timing belt have not been done, that could be an indication that the car had not been properly taken care of.

If the car is well sorted out and free of major issues, I am sure you will be very pleased, just be prepared to spend $$$ on maintenance and repair.1995 325i should I buy for a first car???they are very reliable cars but it is older so it will have normal wear and tear and possibly more. I would have it checked out. I would not recommend it to be your first car for DIY. I have had mine forever and no real problems other than wear and tear. Sometimes, more often than not, parts are more money and are not always as easy to find as domestic cars. I would ask them why they are selling the car, that will tell you alot about the price. Also check Kelly Blue Book and see what it is worth. Good luck with your purchase1995 325i should I buy for a first car???The BMW is expensive own. And it is not a reliable car. It is fun to drive, but a complex car.1995 325i should I buy for a first car???The BMW is expensive to maintain, fix, and insure.

German cars are also harder to work on.

American and Japanese cars are more simpler and easier to understand.

I bought a 1996 Mazda with 120,000 miles for $1900. So i got a newer car with less miles for almost half the price. And now it has 134,000 miles and no problems since I have bought it. Bmw's do have more problems.1995 325i should I buy for a first car???NO1995 325i should I buy for a first car???test drive it. you will fall in love...

the parts may be a bit more expensive than some other cars, but they are well made so break less often.

    we've had a 1994 325 in the family for 12 years.

    we've now got a convertible, 1996.

    fantastic cars. we like them.

plugs, filters oil and service lights are all easy. changed a headlight bulb dead easy.

never tried brakes yet, but i am only a girl

    2000 Ford Explorer xls?

    Hello

My truck just started making a grinding noise while braking. I would like to know how to change the front brakes and what parts are needed to complete the job including tools. I would also like to know about how long all this will take because if its too long I will probably take it to the repair shop.Diagrams would be helpfull as well.

Thanks for all your answers!2000 Ford Explorer xls?You need to unbolt the caliper, machine the rotors if they are within specs, and lubricate the hardware and caliper slides. That question is like asking: I have a friend that needs a heart transplant, I dont want to pay because the doctor is a rip off, so i want to do it myself and save money, but can you tell me what is needed and what i need to do to make it succeed.2000 Ford Explorer xls?Bring it to a cheap independent mechanic. Replacing the brake pads without having the rotors turned is useless you will just wear out a set of pads.

Google a diagram if you want to do it yourself, but a brake job isn't really something to try for the first time.

That's a life and death mistake you can make.

Brake pads are cheap, turning rotors are cheap. Your looking at less than a $100 job!2000 Ford Explorer xls?If you are at a point that it is 'grinding', then you have let it go way too far.

Changing the pads relatively easy, but I am willing to bet that the rotors will need to be resurfaced at best, or replaced if it has been grinding long.

Remove the calipers, pull the rotors, take them to a machine shop, they will measure them to see if they can be resurfaced and remain within specs, replace the pads and you are on your way.

Better yet, take it to a mechanic that you trust, and let him do it, I am betting that he will do it faster, and without any mistakes...:)

    Acura RSX caliper pins HELP?

Ok here's the deal I just recently needed a new caliper because the old one seized up. I had success with that and installed new pads and rotors on that side as well. However while attempting to replace the pads and rotors on the other side I stripped the caliper hex bolt...its now round and i don't know what to do? I ordered a new caliper pin/bolt kit and im hoping that if i drill the head off the bolt but leave the bolt stem in the caliper pin i can remove the pin and just put a new one in. Is this possible to do or is that bolt holding the whole thing in? Again the shop manual dosent go into too much detail about how this is put together.. Below i have a link highlighting the bolt i stripped...its not my car but the bolt is exactly like this one. Your help is greatly appreciated and may save me time and money. http://changingbrakes.com/images/honda-civic-brake-change-brake-caliper-bolts.jpg Its the one to the left of the highlighted one at the bottom( so its the lower bolt in person)Acura RSX caliper pins HELP?That bolt works as the caliper slide pin, so it goes through the piston housing and bolts into the caliper bracket. The bolt kit you bought should include 2 of them, so make sure it does and then work on getting the bolt out:

If you can't get a grip on the bolt's head, pull back the rubber boot and use vise grips to clamp down on the shaft and try to rotate and loosen it from the bracket. Use a lot of PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil.

Worst case scenario is that the bolt won't come out and you'll have to get a complete caliper assembly.

Skin Products Are They Good For Your Skin?

Ive got quite oily skin and i get black heads on my nose, i don't get many spots but in summer my eczema comes out more. My face complexion changes daily so some days i look completely different to how i normally do without make up on.

My cousin was telling me how products like Neutrogena,Witch and Clearasil makes your skin get more oily, and some make you brake out in more spots.

What do they do to your skin?

And are they good for your skin?

Thanks Guyss ;DSkin Products Are They Good For Your Skin? Many products on the market have fillers in it. It doesn't mean they are good or bad for everyone, but those with sensitive skin should stay away from them. Search online for a comedogenic list of products to stay away from. I have an extensive list that I carry with me at all times when I go shopping. I whip out the list and if there is an ingredient at the top of the list in that product, I will not buy it. I wish I could remember the website I found it. But just do some searching. Staying away from these clogging and irritating products has saved my skin and wallett because I am no longer wasting money on things that just dont work. Also I am thankful that my father is also a dermatologist, so I get the know all for free :)Skin Products Are They Good For Your Skin?the only trusted ones ae proactive nuetragena and clearasal dont use any6 others and yes some can make the problem worse , but thats because most people do not follow the insturctions they put to much on and it makes it worse or the dont put enough and it stays the same do the nuetragena skin id test it works better and faster the proactive!Skin Products Are They Good For Your Skin?I know how it is to have eczema, i also have it too and it does come out in the summer but skin products they will make your skin oily and you wouldn't want that. so what you should do i use sensitive skin product. like use baby lotion that helps me with my eczema and use dove sensitive soap along with 2x ultra tide sensitive for when washing your clothing it helps with your eczema. and when you break out after you eat something lay off of that particular meal for a week or 5-7 day!Skin Products Are They Good For Your Skin?Well there is different kinds of acne skin products for different kinds of skin types. Like oily, dry,normal.. You have to find the right one for you. It usually says one the container so make sure to look for that. My opinion is that Neutrogena is the best. It has different types of skin products for many different types of skin. I like Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. It works well and smells good. Just look it up on Google. I know that you can find it at Walmart though. Good Luck! Hope I helped!Skin Products Are They Good For Your Skin?i use to use a lot of skin products on my face. the more my skin broke out the more products i used. then my mom forced me to stop buying everything. now i keep it low-key with an olay bar of soap, bio oil, and tea tree oil (from time to time). the tea tree oil has a bit of an aquired smell to it, so i only use it at night. in the morning, i wash it off in the shower.

i almost forgot, a light dusting of baby powder absorbs the oil up. just don't put on too much because it will whiten your face (unless you have colored pond's beauty powder from the philippines) or you can always use oil blotting sheets.

but i guess, you'll have to just have to keep trying until you find a routine suitable for you. and dont forget, skin routines often change during different seasons.

    good luck

  • I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?

I had the oil changed, the brakes changed, tires rotated back in September 06 at the dealer, free of charge. I know i have to service my car pretty soon and my question is to know if i am required to have it done at the dealer or can i have it done anywhere else ( Midas, Meineke or Jiffy lube). Does it matters where you have your car serviced?

My second question is to know how much it cost in average?I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?You have a couple of choices. First, check what brand of oil they each use and research the brands. A synthetic like Mobil 1 is a good choice. Second, look for coupons to reduce the cost and keep your eyes open for specials that the dealership might offer. It is hard to find anything below 20 bucks. Happy Hunting!I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?Until the warranty expires, I would have the dealer do the recommended Toyota servicing such as oil changes, coolant changes, transmission flushes etc to make sure I kept the warranty in effect, especially the power train warranty which may last 5 years or 60,000 miles. You have to assume that you could have a major engine or transmission problem develop and you'll be glad that the dealer shows all your required maintenance having been done if you need warranty work from them. Is it really worth trying to save $5 on a discount oil change when you can get the original equipment

Toyota oil filter installed at the dealer? Who knows your car better, the Toyota dealer or the quick lube place?I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?You do not have to have the service performed at the Toyota dealership, but you had better know exactly what work is required by your warrantee ... and when ... and you had better be very thorough at keeping records of all maintenance performed. The dealership usually has a poster of the service required at specific mileage or date milestones in their service dept if you need more detail.

The secret is trying to find a cheap, TRUSTWORTHY mechanic. There is no use saving a dime on maintenance if it costs you a dollar in repairs later.

Unless you do 80% of your driving on the highway during off hours you should also use the maintenance schedule for hard use. Especially for oil and filter changes.I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?No, you don't have to have the car serviced at a dealer, as long as the other repair shops use the correct parts and fluids. You have to save all receipts, even for parts and fluids if you work on the car yourself, so that you can prove proper maintenance if a warranty issue arises. However, you will be on better terms with Toyota if you had their dealer perform most of the service.

An oil change should cost $18 (basic) to $30 (including checking/topping off other fluids and performing a general inspection). At 30,000, the radiator should be flushed and filled, transmission fluid replaced, air filter replaced, fuel filter replaced, brake fluid replaced, and spark plugs replaced. You should also get an oil change every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. I wouldn't get a %26quot;30,000 mile service.%26quot; Instead, I would order whatever is specified in the maintenance schedule included in the maintenance manual. I do most of the work myself, so I am not too familiar with repair shops and costs. The radiator drain and fill should cost $50-$75. Spark plug replacement should cost $40-$60. Brake fluid replacement should cost $30-$80. Air filter should cost $10 - $22. Transmission fluid replacement should cost $50-$120. I would have the dealer replace the transmission fluid because Toyota uses a special transmission fluid in its cars. Other shops are more likely to use the wrong fluid. If your manual specifies Type T-IV fluid, I would take it to the dealer. The dealer might say it doesn't need replacement. I would still replace it every 30,000 miles. A drain and fill is adequate. A full flush isn't required, in my opinion, but is better. The difference in prices reflect the different brands/quality of parts used and different labor rates. Independent repair shops have lower prices than the dealers' service departments. Genuine Toyota parts are relatively expensive, but high quality. Some dealers %26quot;overcharge%26quot; for some parts, except to some reluctant people who ask for a better price. Evil. Dealers also have the highest labor rates.

Other maintenance/replacement issues: tires, brakes, wiper blades, windshield washer fluid, battery, light bulbs (headlights, tail lights, turn signal lights, etc.), lubricating hinges, and car washes.

I would also stay away from Jiffy Lube.I bought a 2005 Toyota Corolla with 26000 miles on it.?you can have your car serviced anywhere. toyota does not say anywhere in the service manual that you must have it serviced at toyota or the warranty will be null/void. i wouldnt recommend jiffy lube though...they're yuck.

every dealership cost differently with oil changes. in the east coast they're around 30 bucks now.

    I am a proud mother?

i had to put brakes on my car today and my 13 year old dauhter said she wanted to learn how. so i thought why not. well after we got the car up and off the ground she leaned on it and the jacl fell over and the whole car landed right on the cement. we both looked at it i said i do not think that the car is supose to do that and we both laughed. but we did get a better jack from a neighbor and he said he would do it but my daughter was determind to do this. so i told he thanks but we got this. so after the norma hurting the fingers and the greasy dirt and all that goes with changing brakes my daughter did it. i think that everyone should get learn the basics and even have fun with your kids while teaching themI am a proud mother?Thats nice. Its a good thing to have your kids involved. As long as the child wants to and its not doing something harmful its great that she's learning. More parents need to spend the time with their kids. It brings them closer to u. It teaches them respect, the cost - in time and money. And to appreciate what they have. Good going mom. Thats quality time shared. Keep it up. As one proud mom to another. : )I am a proud mother?cool - nice work momI am a proud mother?its a good thing she didn't get hurt or you when it fell but hey if you are proud of her and yourself then great.I am a proud mother?Thats awesome! I am glad you two did not get hurt when the car fell!!

Hey and this goes to your daughter....YOU GO GIRL!!!I am a proud mother?I wish i could do work on my car. CongratsI am a proud mother?Sounds like a good idea to me. That is one 13 year old girl that knows more about car maintenance than I do ;o)

...Hmm actually that probably covers most 13 year old girls but still nice one. And be especially proud that you were able to see the funny side of the car falling off the jack, alot of parents wouldn't.I am a proud mother?figure out what your doing before hand and impress your daughter with your new found knowledge, instead of almost killing her or yourself in ignorance.

Have you ever peed in your pants while in class?

well i was in the 1st grade and i was an ESL student. ( i dont know why they put me in that class because i spoke perfect english, but maybe because i spoke english and vietnamese). so anyways we were taking the TCAP and it was time for one of our brakes before we began testing again and right before we had to start testing again i had to go to the restroom. but the teacher (Mrs. Shafreek)(%26lt;---- i think that's how you spell it) said no. so then i had to go REALLY bad and i couldnt hold it anymore and before i knew it pee was rushing down my short and skinny leg. lol. embarrasing right? and when i went back to my regular class i took an extra skirt i had out of my locker ( i didnt even know how it got there), went to the restroom, and changed.

  • Cat in the car: does your cat do this?

    This is NOT a joke.

My new cat (an adopted adult) has been making a habit of jumping into my car whenever I have the door open (when the car is in the garage or driveway). Today I wanted to see how far his acceptance would go, so I deliberately opened the driver's side door and called him. He came running and jumped in, and sat down in the passenger's seat.

Then, I drove him around our subdivision (at about 20 mph) for a short while, and he loved it! He didn't meow or try to climb over the seats or get under the brake pedal or anything. He was totally relaxed. I'm surprised he didn't reach over and change the radio station.

Does anyone else have a cat who is at home riding around in a car?Cat in the car: does your cat do this? How cool!!

I would love it if my cat did this.

The car ride I took with my cat was from Chicago to Reno.

    4 days.

    2,000 miles.

The following is a transcript of what transpired the first full day:

meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow....etc.

This was after he had a full-on freak out and chewed a whole in his nice canvas Eddie Bauer carrier, which subsequently was covered in duct tape so he had a little window to poke his furry head through.

By about day 3 he finally wore himself out and fell asleep.

Don't think it didn't cross my mind to dump him in a cornfield (a.k.a. %26quot;The entire state of Nebraska%26quot;). But we made it! And we're a stronger couple for it. :-)Cat in the car: does your cat do this?OMG, my best friends cat does the same thing!! He just jumps in and sits there. It is so funny!!! Well have fun with your cat.Cat in the car: does your cat do this?My cat does that all the time, once i left the car door open because i forgot my purse and when i went back in the car i had no idea he was in there so i drove off, i didn't notice he was in there until i was on my way back home and saw him laying down on the back seat, but i didnt mind he behaved pretty well and seemed to like going on ridesCat in the car: does your cat do this? No, my cats FREAK OUT! All cats have different personalities and likes and dislikes though, so while I am a little surprised, I'm not shocked. I'd love to have a cat like yours. Taking mine to the vet is awful, both in and out of a cat carrier.Cat in the car: does your cat do this?Aww, cute! Some times my cat will sneak in an open window of the car and lay down on the back shelf, but he hates riding in the car. As soon as it starts moving, he freaks out. You're lucky to have a cat who enjoys car rides!Cat in the car: does your cat do this?aww. I wish that my cat would do that. My cat is scared of cars and always cries whenever she is inside of one.Cat in the car: does your cat do this?WOW! I just spent a lot of time and effort training my two cats to stay out of our cars. A cat (not mine) got into the neighbours car and he locked it up and left for the weekend. The poor cat died of heat stroke. The only way my cat is getting in the car is if I'm taking it to the vets.Cat in the car: does your cat do this?HAHA...how funny!!!

We keep our little guy indoors, so i don't know if he deliberately would jump in the car on his own, but when we go to the vet, he either sits on my lap while i'm driving or in the passenger seat. I open the window up a bit for him and he LOVES to people watch while i'm driving. He never meows or tries to hide either.Cat in the car: does your cat do this?My cat Taz used to do that. She was my baby. She'd get in the car and sit in my lap while I drove around. She'd lean on the arm rest and look out the window at other cars. She never made any noise. It's fun to see the looks on people's faces downtown when they see you driving with a cat in your lap. %26lt;3

Is there a chiropractic guru out there? should i change my chiropractic?

    Your Question

    Hello,

I am assisting to the chiropractic at lease 3 times per week because I was in a car accident.

I was sitting the on the back seat of a car and was bang from the back in a car accident. I didn't brake any ribs.

the chiropractic told me that I have some inflammation in my back and that the muscles are trying to hold on.

the first few sessions she would sit with me and explain the process and level of care I would need in order to regain full functionality.

her initial care consisted of massage and stretching my neck and back, and around 10 munits of a vibrating machine on my back.

in other words, she would take 15 munits of care and 30 munits of talking. the problem is, that I was going there on my lunch break and by the time she finish talking I would end up at work 15 munits late.

I politely mention that I was getting late to work but she continue to talk for around 30 munits.

I then decided to go evenings, but by the time I get home my entire evening was gone.

I politely mentioned to her that I prefer to go there at noon but I get out a little too late.

today she don't talk any more ( I could live with that !) the bad thing is that she rushes me in and out ( :( )

I think this is not professional and it makes me feel as if I am not getting my money worth.

    I have a few questions.

    1. More or less, how long should the session be?

    2. was it normal for the first 8 session to be 30 munits explanation of the same thing and 15 of real care?

    3. she does the same massage every visit. shouldn't she tackle other muscles on my back? or at lease massage it for a few munits

    4. should I dump her and go to another chiropractic? the energy feels weird in there?

    5. any suggestions or tips?Is there a chiropractic guru out there? should i change my chiropractic?Definitely dump her. Trust your instinct - she sounds like bad news and there's no good reason to be there when she doesn't stop talking and adjust what she's doing to you on a regular basis. A typical visit should be about 15 minutes unless they use heat. I would actually go to a few offices and look inside and talk to the office mgr and/or the actual chiropractor. Do you SeaFoam your car on a regular basis?

With all the stuff that comes out of the exhaust (i think youre supposed to pour it in somewhere while the engine is running until it does, then let it come out, then change the oil, putting 1/3 IN the Oil... HOW do you %26quot;Let it get sucked in through the Brake Booster%26quot; cant you just take the PCV Valve hose off and pour it in there as its running to kill Engine?) ... does the car run %26quot;Like New%26quot;?

Im a little fuzzy on where my PCV Valve even IS.. i have the 1991 Oldsmobile Cuslass Calais with the 2.5L %26quot;Iron Duke%26quot; Tech4.

    Thanks

http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfDo you SeaFoam your car on a regular basis? The best use for this type of product is to let it collect dust on the shelf at the auto parts store. If you do proper maintenance there is absolutely no need for these %26quot;miracle cures%26quot; in a can.Do you SeaFoam your car on a regular basis?a few points here. i use that stuff in the fuel system, the lubrication system and through the intake. but the quad 4 does not use a pcv valve to my knowledge, you can take a second rout through the vacuum

brake booster to get to the intake if that is what you are after.

Do you SeaFoam your car on a regular basis?you don,t want nothing like that in the brake booster. the only thing is suppose to be there is vacuum. if your car is like my 1988 oldsmobile delta 88 with the 3800 engine then the pcv valve is on the passenger side. you have to push some wires out of the way to get to it and it,s a bear to get to it too.

    Transitional/Rebound Relationships - Your Thoughts?

So I have been recently a victim of a rebound relationship. Things were going well then he pushed heavily into the relationship to move things forward. Talked about changing his life around for us to be together (he lived 2hours away). Then in 24 hours turned around and told me that he felt it was a transitional relationship and that he wasn't going to fall in love with me - even though he acted as though he already was. He refused to talk to me in person - did it via email. Wouldn't answer the phone when I called or return my phone call, nor answer my email about meeting in person and working it out.

We had so much in common, and were able to communicate before all this and talk about so many things we had the same interests in.

Does this person just not see you for who you are because they are still stuck on the other person? Do they not look back and have regrets that they may have screwed up something wonderful? Could they have the perfect person for them, but they were too emotionally screwed up to recognize it?

I just feel really used and broken hearted like I have never felt. Its been two months and I have no desire to move on or date - I just want to be alone now. It took many years for me to find someone I connected to like I did him - but now I wonder if he was just pretending.

How can you pretend to care about someone and then dump them like they never mattered? Worst part is - I'd been hurt incredibly in my previous relationship, as he did. I wanted to go slow with this relationship and he pushed it - the more I put my brakes on the more he tried to get more serious. And then he dumped it on me as though it was my fault because I couldn't do things like read his mind to know what he was thinking - and that he was doing all the work (which was untrue) then ran.

Is this just a horrible, screwed up jerk who pretends to be a nice guy? He did all the right things, was very sweet and kind and loving and open, and then turned into the biggest liar and jerk I have ever met.Transitional/Rebound Relationships - Your Thoughts? The first 6-9 months of every relationship feels intense. You think you're in love, you think this person is the one person for you, you are willing to do anything and everything to be with them ... then reality hits and you realize how you really feel now and how you felt during that %26quot;honeymoon period%26quot; are very different.

So no, I don't think he was being a jerk. I think he got caught up in those feelings and thought, %26quot;Wow, I'm completely over my ex!%26quot; Then he realized that wasn't true at all; he was still hung up on his ex (it takes months to get over someone usually), and he had been using you. It wasn't intentional, I'm sure.

Yeah, maybe you and he could have been something great. But it wasn't the right time. And now he may fear that he has ruined it beyond all repair, and even if he somehow %26quot;saw the light%26quot; and realized he really was in love with you, he would think you wouldn't listen. But don't get hung up on this notion. Most of the time, if you're not in love, you're just not in love. He wasn't in love with you. Chances are, that's not going to change. You have a lot in common with friends, and he just saw you as a friend, not a romantic partner.

If you continue to feel desolate, I would recommend therapy. Right now, it's normal to want to be alone, but if this continues for another month, please seek help.Transitional/Rebound Relationships - Your Thoughts?Always take time to heal before dating someone else. I'm sure he didn't mean to hurt you. It just didn't work out -- but it's never a waste. You come out learning something new. Best of luck.

Whats the Ideal riding technique for a Motorcycle?

Assume that the bike has been started.....

( Note: Please answer for City riding conditions where fuel economy, Balance, Handling and Noise level are all important)

    1) How should one balance the Clutch - Accelerator ratio, gear wise?

    2) On a slope is it good / bad to use the clutch, when the bike can free wheel - without acceleration?

    3) If (2) deserves a good, then why? if not why?

    4) How elevated the brake lever should be, for your foot action?

    5) How should a bike be braked at different speed ranges?

    6) Changing original wheel sizes - is it bad / has no effects? Explain

    7) Changing Silencer's Diameter / re- modelling it - what effects it has on the bike?

    8) Changing Handle Bar size / shapes - what effects it has on the bike?

    9) Effects of Pillion Rider?

Shiney side UP.....rubber side DOWNWhats the Ideal riding technique for a Motorcycle?just do what feels comfortable. if you aren't comfortable, your riding experience isn't going to be good. once you get used to your bike, you will learn the best ways to ride, and what works best for you. everyone is different.Whats the Ideal riding technique for a Motorcycle?hello there, answers questions wise.

1)Every company has specified there gear accelerator ration.it may vary at different speeds.so it would b better if u read ur manual of ur bike or there must be sticker at the fuel tank on ur bike.if suppose on first gear the bike is raced to 20kmph instead of the 10kmph as mentioned by the company it will adversely affect ur bikes performationmreducing ur engine life and also clutch plate.

2)see when ur on slope and u press clutch lever the engine power is lost.it is not reaching the to the driven wheel. As much u press the clutch lever engine life is reduced and also it affects the clutch plate which indirectly effects the engine performance.this will also reduce ur fuel efficiency as power is lost.

    3)mentioned above in point 2

4)sorry didnt got ur point.specify what exactly u mean.

5)Dodnt brake unnecessarily.coz it affects the engine.

6)Definately changing wheel size would effect ur bike's performance.if u replace the original tyre by a bigger one bike will experience more load and resistance.tyres are designed according to engine.

7)ya changing silencer will also effect bikes performance.broader the diameter of silencer more incomplete combustion and it will also cause more pollution.if the diameter of silencer is increased bike will experience more load.

8)Changing handle bars doesnt effect the performance of bike. But it will only effect the way u ride.handle will become more stiff and u will not be able to turn properly at desired angle.

9)Sorry didnt get ur point what effects on pillion rider?please specify under what condition.

To gain better fuel efficiency u should reduce the use if clutch.

    Avoid instant braking

drive at constant speed.dodnt vary speeds

dodnt give sudden jerk to bike.dodnt just accelerate suddenly from 0 as it may lead to incomplete combustion reducing ur fuel efficiency.

regularly check air pressure in tyres.as if there is low pressure bike will experience more load and will effect engine.

    Also check oil level.

  • How to change my life?

im now 20 yrs old and in the army....im really in a wreck here. im not ganna give you any details, or how i came to this point, just need advice on how to get out of this situation. over my life, i am now $20,000 in debt. my debt payments + the cost of food allows me to just brake even every paycheck...i smoke cigarettes and drink booze, and i do some illegal drugs. don't worry, i can pass a drug test. my life is now a mess, because of my debt and the cigarettes, alcohol, and drugs. i want control of my life back....the world is so fooked up and u just need to alter your reality for a bit, you know what i mean? my family knows and wants to help me....i just wanna be a civilian again, not bound by all these army rules, and just be free to do what i want. at the same time, i wanna have a good life, make a lot of money, and not be some douchebag who works at mcdonalds the rest of his life....i don't know what else to say...most information and help in the answer gets 10 points. How to change my life?Just grin and bear it through the rest of your army contract and then go from there. It would look bad on you if you had a dishon. discharge. Plus all those veterans benefits will help down the road.

Needless to say as far as the drug thing goes, cut that sh^t out first. It's a damn expensive habit. I dont know how a 20 year old gets into 20000 bucks worth of debt but you need to cut cost like a mother ******. depending on how much you smoke thats an extra 20 dollars a week right there. cut off your cable, and move back on post if you're renting a place off base.

Basically what Im saying is try the best you can to clean up the mess while you are still in the army so that you can have a clean slate when you get out.How to change my life?Pew pew moar for cashes. How to change my life?Find some way to fake your own death. How to change my life?If I were you.. I'd go to a rehab for the booze, drugs and cigarettes, and find a better job, hold on to it, save money and go to College for something you're interested in. Don't keep on the same road - try changing your habits. How to change my life? You're 20, 20K in debt, a substance abuser, you do not follow rules, and you want the good life.

You are already a %26quot;douchebag%26quot;, McDonalds is what you deserve.

Follow the rules and work hard and you may have a chance. How to change my life?geeze ur in a bit of a pickle, I KNOW, TURN TO BUDHISM!!! isnt it possible to just quit the army, and go live with your family until you get back on track, as long as they are supportive it shouldnt be too big a problem.

i'm only 15 so i may not understand completely, either way good luck! How to change my life? You already know the answer. Work to get your debt paid off and stop wasting money on cigs, alcohol and drugs. In other words, do the opposite of what you're doing now.How to change my life?Well then...Take step by step. Get a relative to help you and kinda be with you 24/7 to make sure you don't do anything wrong. If that can't help you you can try a Therapist and see if they can help you. But if none of that works Get RID of everything that could tempt you and get a hobby. Clean you place to where there is no smell of drugs, alcohol, and illegal things. If none of that helps just plainly try to stop. That's that. How to change my life? Our body and mind should be kept trim always. Just like any machinery, our body and mind also requires frequent servicing and over-hauling. Such knowledge is taught only in Yoga classes, where we can learn how to keep our body and mind always fit, dynamic, strong, alert, vibrant, vigilant, etc.How to change my life?finish your service to the army asap and then quit the drugs, if its anything worse then pot drop it like a burning piece of wood. then try to lay off drinking for a little bit, try to lessen the amount of alcohol by going for lighter drinks (stuff with less alcohol in them). then get a good job in a field where your training in the army could help you ex. logging, boot camp, wrestling. that would help you on the money issue. for the debt, try paying off more and switch from cigarettes to nicotine patches or nicotine gum, or if you don't want to, just try to lessen the amount you smoke, try going to a max of half a pack a day. this will help the money issue even more. after that your life is in a good working order and you should be able to go on from there. good luck with everything and if you chose me as the best answer, don't give me the points, my knowledge is a book for everyone to read.

Expunging your record whats the point?

This is my first time posting topic

I was not the ideal child for any parent to have,I had 3 felonies by the time I was 13 and I messed up a few more times after nothing even in the same ball park ,but I still was unable to make a complete brake from my old way of living .The one thing that keep me going was the hope that when I was older my record would get expunged and I would be able to start a normal productive life .All I wanted to do was try and bring back get back my family's good name .I wanted to join the military to my father proud to have me as his son again, but now I find out even if it was a juvenile record I can't get into the military . Well I just have to say everyone gets mad at the reconvicted offenders but if they don't even get a chance at doing it right ,what else can be expected ?Why even try to do right if in the end it is all for not ?No matter how rare it happens plp do change ,and now I find out I don't even get a chance to prove it ,then why change at all.Expunging your record whats the point?and i guess im the one that is going to sound like the a$$, well, so be it. i raised two sons, and am raising a daughter. one son is in the military, one in college. my 21 yr old made a lot of mistakes, screwed up a lot, always wanted to go into the military, and walked that line, but knew where it was drawn! I LOVE HIM, but didn't always like what he did growing up. a felon is a felon is a felon! he knew, ya drink and drive, no military, no voting, not in the state we lived in, so he didnt do it. there were lines that ya didn't cross, thats an example! i don't feel for you. we didn't have a lot of money, his father was not in the home, yadee yadee yadee..... he didn't use that as an excuse in life, it made him the MAN he is today! yes he made mistakes, that doesn't mean he was a FOOL. he did something with his life. Guess what, He is now an American Soldier, and i am Proud! you still can make something of your life as well, but you, only you, not me, nor a judge, or jury, nor society took away your rights to vote, carry a weapon, or to serve this country, you took that choice away. don't ask whats the point, make a difference for yourself from this day forward if you want something, because its NOBODY%26quot;S job but your own.

You sent me an email to ask again, I will answer you HERE. what is the point in getting your record expunged? so that you can go on to college, so that you may go to a trade school, so that you may apply for jobs that may not be open to you otherwise. the government is one place that you may not find employment because of your record. other places this may affect you is working with children, honestly, i wouldnt want ANY felon, nothing personal, ANY FELON, working around one of my minor children. certain mental health profession WILL be able to obtain those records! other than that OR ANYTHING that requires ANY type of security clearance should NOT be able to obtain those records once expunged. you would be surprised who can get them otherwise. there is a good reason to get it done. Get on with your life. you sound like you are young enough to do it. i answered your questions the first time, you didnt like my answer. i never said my son was the perfect %26quot;stand up guy%26quot; i said he was no fool, and 3 felonies, thats foolish, no excuse!Expunging your record whats the point?Felons are the new second class. It's a shame. Once you're in you're pretty much screwed. That's how it is for now, maybe in the future things will change. I'm lucky to have avoided felonies thus far, I have two hanging over my head as misdemeanors now but if I f*ck up I'm in the same boat as you.Expunging your record whats the point?Keep posting this throughout the day. I am not much on recruitment but we have some in this section. I think you can file waivers. I myself grew up in a bad area of Houston and had a juvie record but was accepted. Either your recruiter dropped the ball or there is more to this than what you're telling.Expunging your record whats the point?Sorry, but, your not what I would be looking for in an employee. I'm in business to make a profit, not social services. I need employees that I can trust, depend on to service my customers. You most likely can't be bonded, my insurance company most likely would not cover you.

Good LuckExpunging your record whats the point?i've never heard of the military checking into juvenile records...they are sealed for a reason...i would talk to a recruiter and find out for sure...i'm pretty there are waivers that can be filled out if they do check your juvenile record since you were a kid when you committed those crimes...good luck!Expunging your record whats the point?you want to work for the federal government. the federal government has higher standards than most civilian companies. it is a privilege to serve, not a right.

the militray is under ZERO obligation to cut you any slack. once is forgivable. 3 plus times? nope.

does this mean you should just throw int he towel and resign yourself to a life of crime and a violent end? NO. there are THOUSANDS of people who screwed up in their youth and still managed to become productive members of society who made a positive impact. It's all in your attitude. if you walk around with a chip on your shoulder and a 'woe is me' complex, you will get nowhere. If you pick yourself up, dust yourself off and make a choice to do better, you will.. and maybe, just maybe, you can steer somebody else away form the mistakes you made in your past.Expunging your record whats the point? What you need to do is keep yourself squared away and take college classes. You can get a waiver if you walk into the recruiter's office with something in your background to show that you have changed and will succeed.

You cannot undo your past. What you can do is show that this is no longer who you are.

I love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change?

its so hard 2 deal with she told me that she love me and she said it hearted here so much win she dealing with the brake up and i ask here how do u feel about us and she just says i dont know and she doesnt want 2 talk about it and win i ask here about us she say i dont know but she calls me evey night and just talk about are day and she says shes happy by here self win i know shes not and she runs 2 me win shes got problem like last week she got a flat tire and she ask me 2 come and help here and after i did i want to here house with here and she said i want u 2 be my best friend and im like i ask u 2 mairry me and she said yes and now im your best friend wthat the hell is that and i ask for my ring back but it feels like she just wants 2 keep it and she all ways at here friends house just drinking all the time now gets drunk just about evey other day we ben apart for like 2 what should i do i realy love here but she doesnt want 2 hang. just calls evey nightI love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change?im having a hard time trying to understand what you wrote, i cant understand! please try the spelling check.I love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change?you really need to pull back and relax and she will feel comfortable enough to come back!I love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change?Be honest with her, tell her what you want in the relationship, and if you both want a different type of relationship then it may be time to end the relationship--make sure you both know what each other want if you continue to be friends to avoid future problems.I love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change?try to put more punctuations next time. it's hard to understand what ya saying. try to let go of her. take some time away from her. don't take her calls, don't go c her. she'll ran back to you in a minute!!well l hope. just give her the impression that you want to get over it and her and just observe her reactions. you'll know her feelings for youI love this girl so much but she said 2 me that here feelings has change? It is hard to understand what you are saying, maybe if you pause between sentences and spell better you will have better luck with girls. When a girl says %26quot;I just want to be your friend%26quot;, she actually means that %26quot;I am not attracted to you and never will, but I'll keep you around so I can use you%26quot;. Think about it. She is doing some small things that make you think you have a chance, but in fact you don't. Don't waste your time. Girls are everywhere.

Where is my 2005 Accord EX V6 vibration coming from?

Ok, so for starters this is NOT your typical %26quot;Oh, its a brake problem%26quot; or %26quot;Oh, you need a wheel balance%26quot; vibration - kinda tired of seeing those posts with only those solutions.

My car has several mechanics stumped: Honda dealer, Sears, and another auto shop all can't figure it out.

    So, of course we did the obvious least expensive fixes first: balance, alignment, changed tires (twice), and checked rims - they are not bent. Then used a device called %26quot;chassis ears%26quot; which were kind of fun to drive the car with while listening to different parts of the car - but no sound changes when hooked up near the brakes and motor mounts and another part - I forget what it was called %26quot;lower....something%26quot;

Decided to change anyway all the brake pads and rotors and then front axles.

    Still, vibration.

Tired and worn out from this. Looked up recalls on 05 Honda Accords and there's several but I don't see how any of them would cause the vibration. There's also no indication of body work from the previous owner (bought from dealer who received the car after a lease was up).

I've heard that automatic transmissions sometimes have these vibrations and the whole thing would need to be changed out if that is the case or it could be the %26quot;harmonic stabilizer%26quot; that's attached to the camshaft. But that hasn't been decided to explore those 2 yet to see if they are the problem. I guess it's a little more expensive to do that.

Oh, and another thing, the vibration comes on stronger with colder outside temperatures (but still is present when it's warm out but less pronounced).

And also, lubing up the metal holders for the brakes (these metal holders clip onto the brakes which clip onto the calipers) helped out too, but only for a half day on a warm day too- so that's why I still thought the brakes might be a problem and changed them out.

Thinking of just trading in for something else, maybe BMW, Lexus, Ford, Mercury or something.

Would I tell the dealer that there's a vibration? Kind of feel I should but....?

Maybe just go back to the original dealer (Herb Chambers) and trade in for one of their cars but I didn't like my auto purchasing experience there with this Honda and don't want to go back to any of them.

Any thoughts on any of this?Where is my 2005 Accord EX V6 vibration coming from? You need to start with a better description of what the vibration is that you are trying to fix.

    1) does the vibration only happen when the car is in motion or do you feel it at stops as well?

    2) if only when the car is in motion, at what vehicle speed does the vibration start to come in?

    3) at what engine speed does the vibration start to come in?

    4) what gear is the transmission in?

    5) does the vibration change with vehicle speed, engine speed, or transmission gearing?

    6) is the vibration felt on turns, straights, uphills, downhills, or under all conditions at the threshold speed?

    7) where do you feel the vibrati0on? In the seats? In the steering wheel? in the accelerator or brake pedal?

    8) does the vibration go away when coasting in neutral?

    9) is the vibration felt on transmission shifts, or before, or after the transmission shifts? does the intensity change?

    10) what is the engine temperature when the vibration occurs? cold, hot or at all temperatures?

    11) has the dealer determined the order of the vibration? do they know the resonance of the vibration in Hertz? do they know the amplitude?

    12) is there an audible noise with the vibration or is the vibration just felt?

these are only a few of the questions that you need to provide data on before you can expect anyone to narrow down the possibilities. the more information you give the better the chance you have of someone isolating the vibration.

hope that helps.Where is my 2005 Accord EX V6 vibration coming from?stop going to a dealer first thing most of time of trouble shooting go to a real shop place that works on cars dealership sale cars and only work on new cars where shop repair car every day sorry best bet to find a problem wil be a better shop not a dealershipWhere is my 2005 Accord EX V6 vibration coming from?It could be a front axle (drive shaft).

You have all the attributes I adore and although I'm not so tall, I have a handy stool we could employ as a kiss-toy.

This could really work for us, because I have a bald spot on my head. Let's say, if I were hugging you around 10 am or two in the afternoon, you could whip out a doily and put your coffee on my head, and as long as it's not hayfever season, and you're not Dolly Parton's sister, I could hug and still breathe ok and coffee breaks could be sheer heaven.

Dancing would be fun too, you could lead and steer and everything and I could kind of flail my legs around in the air a bit and off we'd go.......and surprise, surprise I love latex and high heels....we could swap stuff. What size are you?

Most career women don't get married. How do you prepare yourself for spinsterhood?Spinsterhood isn't all that bad, I would imagine it's even better for you considering you have a dog. So don't worry and take each day as it comes, there are short spinsters with boobs and a brain too. They come in all sizes so don't blame your looks when it is your choices and fate that are to 'blame.'

Do lower control arm bushings have to be put in a certain way, could they have snapped instantly if put in wrong? please call me if your an experienced tech, luke 603-642-8124Does anyone know how the front end in a bmw works or what?Yeah - loose ball joints, tie rods, worn rack %26amp; pinion steering gears. The wheels probably feel loose when you grab the front wheel at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock and shake it back and forth. But, if you jack the car up and grab it at 12 o'clock and 6 o'clock and you can shake it, I think it's probably front wheel bearings. The only other thing I can think of is toe-in adjustment or I don't know if your may have a steering damper.Does anyone know how the front end in a bmw works or what?Did you check tie rod ends or ball joints?Does anyone know how the front end in a bmw works or what?Upper control arms are the more likely culprit, they take more load than the lowers under typical driving and braking loads. Change the whole arm, the ball joint on the other end is not serviceable.
